The Nitó-jutsu Seishin-ryu style in Hungary is represented by Master János Karsai, 9th dan. Its mission is to foster personal development through the path of martial arts. The various empty-hand and sword techniques serve to refine the student’s character and strengthen their willpower.
At our Fall MondoCon 2026 demonstration, we will offer a glimpse into the use of the weapons we train with. Everyone interested in martial arts – or curious to experience what it’s like to fight like a samurai – is warmly welcome!

The choreography will be taught by GERDA and CHENYX, instructors at Black Time Dance School, who have been active members of the K-pop dance community for years. With numerous performances, productions, and dance classes under their belts, you’ll be in great hands throughout the workshop.
Alongside K-pop, hip-hop also plays a major role in their movement style, bringing an energetic and dynamic feel to their classes. The goal is not only to learn the choreography, but also to experience the energy and atmosphere of K-pop dance together.

We are the Dancing Fairies! Our team was formed in 2023 thanks to a university project. For two years, we learned the basics of Chinese classical and jazz dance from Chinese dance instructors.

Autumn MondoCon 2026 promises to be a special event for several reasons. For one, there will be two major concerts connected to the con:
Ghibli classical music concert on Friday, featuring Azumi Inoue and her daughter.
Who-ya Extended J-rock/pop concert on Saturday, featuring the singer behind the Jujutsu Kaisen opening theme. You can read more here.
What should you know about the Ghibli concert?
The concert will take place as MondoCon’s official pre-event on October 16, Friday, starting at 5:30 PM. This is the only program connected to the con that requires a separate ticket. You can read more about this and the concert details here. The concert will feature Azumi Inoue and her daughter, Yuyu performing classic Ghibli songs you may know from films such as My Neighbor Totoro or Castle in the Sky.
You can also purchase a combined MondoCon ticket for the Friday Ghibli concert, which is valid for the Friday concert as well as both days of MondoCon.
But the concert experience does not end on Friday.
Panel discussion and mini concert on Saturday at the con
At noon on Saturday, October 17, Azumi and Yuyu will return to the MondoCon Main Stage! You can listen to a short conversation with the legendary singer, who was personally chosen by Hayao Miyazaki to bring the songs of his anime films to life with her voice.
The conversation will also be accompanied by a small mini concert: Azumi will perform the unforgettable song from My Neighbor Totoro, “My Neighbor Totoro” (Tonari no Totoro). This way, those who could not attend Friday’s concert can still enjoy part of the experience.
Meet Azumi Inoue, the legendary voice of Ghibli
Azumi Inoue originally dreamed of becoming an idol. At just 14, she reached the final round of an audition, but ultimately was not selected. Still, she did not give up on her dream: she debuted as a singer in 1983, although she had to wait a few more years for her big breakthrough.
Three years later, she won an audition that would change her life forever. She was personally chosen by Hayao Miyazaki, which led to her performing the now-legendary songs from Castle in the Sky, and later My Neighbor Totoro. Her voice became inseparably linked with the world of Studio Ghibli for generations of fans.
Decades later, however, an unexpected event interrupted her career. On August 26, 2023, the day of her 40th anniversary concert, she suffered a brain hemorrhage during the dress rehearsal. She was rushed to hospital, where she underwent emergency surgery, followed by five months of hospitalization and a long period of rehabilitation. The hemorrhage left the left side of her body paralyzed.
But Azumi did not give up this time either. In November 2024, she returned to the stage in a wheelchair, now alongside her daughter, Yuyu. More than a year after her brain hemorrhage, she once again sang in front of an audience, continuing a career whose best-known songs are now recognized around the world as Studio Ghibli classics.
Yuyu, who found her own voice at an early age
Like her mother, Yuyu is also a singer, but her path has not been an easy one either. She was only three years old when she was diagnosed with leukemia and spent 6 months in hospital. She made a full recovery after treatment.
She later recalled that period: “I developed leukemia when I was three, but I made a full recovery and was able to reach my 15th birthday. I want people who are fighting illness right now to know that there are people who recover and go on to achieve their dreams, just as I did.”
Music had been part of her life from a very early age. At the age of 5, while still in kindergarten, she performed the “Nausicaä Requiem” on her mother’s album of Ghibli songs. At the age of 6, a demo recording she made herself led to her debut on a popular music program on Japan’s public broadcaster. The song was so well received that, unusually, it continued to be aired repeatedly for six months.
Her musical career continued: a song she released in 2013 reached 600,000 views on YouTube within ten months.
Today, at 21, she not only performs alongside her mother: she fronts her own rock band, MaguroNikan while studying at a music academy. Since Azumi’s return in 2024, mother and daughter have also been performing together, allowing the story of these Ghibli songs to continue across two generations.

If you choose to join, your task will be to pick a category, spin the wheel, and sing the song you got from beginning to end. Don’t worry if you’re not familiar with the song; you can bring up to 3 friends (as we have 4 mics), ask for help from any volunteers in the audience or even take one of the staff members to sing together. As long as you manage to complete the song and not run away from the stage you’ll receive a small surprise!
If a song is available in multiple languages, you will be able to choose which lyrics will be displayed.

With the final part of BLEACH’s final season, we’re slowly but surely reaching the end of Ichigo’s story. And we think an anime that has been with us since 2004 and entertained fans for more than twenty years deserves a proper MondoCon farewell. 🙂

Have you heard the second opening theme of Jujutsu Kaisen, VIVID VICE, or the opening themes of Psycho-Pass 3, Q-vism and Synthetic Sympathy? If so, then you’ve definitely heard the voice of Who-ya, who will be performing a full concert on Saturday at MondoCon Autumn 2026!
Who-ya began his musical career in 2019, performing mainly rock and pop rock. Who-ya Extended is actually a music project rather than a single artist, with Who-ya serving as its vocalist. He was only 20 years old when the project made its debut. While the supporting members may change from song to song, several core members remain constant. Their debut track also became the opening theme for Psycho-Pass 3.
At MondoCon, we’ll be welcoming Who-ya himself. His musical style has been heavily influenced by Linkin Park’s late vocalist, Chester Bennington, who inspired him to pursue a career in music.

Ticket info: You can attend the concert with a regular MondoCon ticket, so there’s no need to purchase a separate concert ticket.
Have you been waiting for the opportunity to unleash your voice on stage? Be it alone or with friends, you may pick from a wide variety of songs to sing along from your favourite anime and video games, J-pop, J-rock, K-pop or „Western” rock/pop bands, Disney movies and so on. In order to perform, you need to sign up at the karaoke room anytime during the Free Karaoke program by giving us your nickname and choosing a song from our list. As it’s a first-come, first-served event, you will receive a number and we will call you to the stage when it’s your time to shine – please bear in mind that the average length of a song is 4-5 minutes, so if there are e.g. 6 people waiting ahead of you, it would mean you need to wait 25-30 minutes to sing. Our list of available songs can be found here or at the venue as well.
Please note that during the last hour of the day the organizers may choose to prioritize singers who have not yet had the opportunity to perform that day, or sang fewer songs than others in the queue. Furthermore, inappropriate behaviour on stage (eg. inarticulate shouting, substance abuse, not even attempting to follow the lyrics or melody) may result in being black listed from the programme.
