What is karuta? Come discover and try one of Japan’s traditional games, a true peak of reflex and memory games! It is an art intertwined with haiku, based on a collection of one hundred poems.
Our club has now been active for ten years and warmly welcomes anyone interested. Even far from Japan, we actively practice this art twice a week, training both body and mind. I can personally confirm that the game is just as exhausting as it looks—but just as exciting as well.
Don’t worry, no knowledge of Japanese is required to play. All you need to do is enjoy the game—we’ll help you through any complications.
